 Project Description

Progresstech carried out the works on design, construction, repair and certification with the framework of the Domodedovo Airport reconstruction and development programs aimed at the airport compliance with the increasing international and domestic traffic. Progresstech fulfilled its commitments under the following contracts (agreements):

  •  Series of the airfield pavements tests to determine physical and mechanical properties of asphalt-concrete and bearing capacity of the airfield pavements of various types, 1995 – 1997
  • Assessment of technical condition of Rwy-2 pavements and repair works on cement-concrete pavements, 1996 – 1997
  • Repair of cement-concrete pavements on the apron, 1998
  • Repair of cement-concrete pavements on Rwy-2: sealing of joints, 1999
  • Repair of cement-concrete pavements of the cargo terminal, 2000
  • Repair of asphalt-concrete pavements of the landside, 2000
  • Repair of cement-concrete airfield pavements, 2001
  • Development of detailed design of the business aviation complex pavements, 2002
  • Development of the Rwy-1 Reconstruction Feasibility Study Sections – Engineering and Structural Solutions, 2002
  • Development of the project on expansion of the lower parking lot for motor transport, 2002
  • Studies on condition and perspectives of the Domodedovo Airport development, including the assessment of the flight operations environmental impact on the airport adjacent area in the context of the Research Study “Investigation of the Condition and Development Prospects of the Moscow Aviation System (MAS) Airports”, 2002

The project was aimed at managing all-freight services considering the requirements of the Federal customs complex.
The Progresstech specialists have developed and introduced a new technology of special protection units – explosive protective chambers ÂÇÊ-01 capable to take a blast load of 800 g TNT equivalent.
The compulsory certification is to be performed by the airport certification agency and appropriate regional certification bodies duly accredited by the Russian Federation air transport certification system. Widely used for certification are relevant certification centers and testing laboratories.
The increase of the performance period of airfield and roadway pavements depends on such factors as proper operation, adequate maintenance and timely running repair to be performed in accordance with the relevant norms and standards. The construction & repair units of JSC Progresstech, Ltd. and Progresstech-Center perform all kinds of works for airfield and roadway pavement repair using advanced technologies and knowhows, state-of-the-art equipment and materials.
