Project Description
The project objective is the modernization of the airport to comply with the operational feasibility requirements.
The reconstruction project of Saransk Airport included the following works:
- reinforcement of the existing runway with an asphalt-concrete layer, 120,000 sqm;
- reconstruction of the drainage system.
In the context of the reconstruction program JSC Progresstech executed a series of works under the following contracts:
- Inspection of the airfield pavement technical condition
- Development of the reconstruction project
- Building and construction works
- Evaluation of the pavement roughness
- Quality control of the used materials
- Cutting and sealing of joints in asphalt-concrete pavements
- Quality control of the performed works

When executing the reconstruction project at Saransk Airport JSC Progresstech performed the following works:

The Bolshoe Savino Airport reconstruction project
The compulsory certification is to be performed by the airport certification agency and appropriate regional certification bodies duly accredited by the Russian Federation air transport certification system. Widely used for certification are relevant certification centers and testing laboratories.
The increase of the performance period of airfield and roadway pavements depends on such factors as proper operation, adequate maintenance and timely running repair to be performed in accordance with the relevant norms and standards.
