| Extreme in the sky and on the ground

Sukhoi Superjet is a principally new properly configured product. It has been created for airlines stating that they need just such aicraft. By the way, Embraer aircraft has a similar configuration as the Russian jet, however the latter exceeds Embraer in aircraft performance characteristics. Certainly, Embraer has its own merits too, and these two jets will normally compete with each other on the market. Today Sukhoi faces a challenge to successfully pass national and worlwide certification and futher to proceed to the jet full-scale commercial production.

| Sheremetyevo Airport Rescuers Have Shown Their Skills to EMERCOM Colleagues
On August 27 a demonstration training was carried out on the Sheremetyevo International Airport training ground. During such training emergency rescue teams (ERT) and fire-fighting and rescue teams of Sheremetyevo Airport demonstrated their skills on emergency actions in case of airport-related accident. About 80 Russian EMERCOM representatives attended the training.

At present self-propelled power lifts occupy an appropriate niche in the worldwide airport vehicle park. You may often see small vehicles of different colors operating at airports in New York, Paris, Tokyo and now in Moscow. However these vehicles have not been really widespread in Russia yet. 99 % of airport complexes prefer working in the old manner and use staging and scaffolding that are highly inappropriate in passenger terminal space.

| Moscow has seen “Alligator”
Moscow hosted the Second International Helicopter Industry Exhibition HeliRussia-2009. Over 130 companies from Russia and other countries participated in it. For instance, companies from Great Britain, the USA, Sweden and France presented their products.
The novelty displayed at the exhibition is the multi-mission combat helicopter Kamov Ka-52 “Alligator”. At present this helicopter undergoes state testing and this test model carrying full weapon load flew itself to the exhibition area from the testing ground. This 10-ton helicopter is designed to fight tanks and air targets as well as to carry out reconnaissance and support land forces.

| Analysing the Results of Integrated Safety & Security International Exhibition 2009
On May 22 the Second International Exhibition “Integrated Safety & Security 2009” was closed. The event was organized by Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters (EMERCOM), Ministry of the Interior of the Russian Federation, Boarder Guard Service of the Russian Federal Security Service, Federal Service of Military Technical Cooperation and Russian Defence Export State Corporation (Rosoboronexport). 17 federal executive agencies took part in the exhibition, thus making the event unique in wide scale integrated action of the various authorities.
Took part in the opening ceremony Rashid Nurgaliev, Minister of Interior of the Russian Federation, Sergey Shoigu, Minister of EMERCOM, Georgy Poltavchenko, Russian Presidential Envoy to the Central Federal District, Vladimir Pronichev, head of Border Guard Service of Russia and other high-ranking officials of the Russian federal executive authorities and representatives of foreigh diplomatic missions.

| MAKS 2009 Successfully Over
The Ninth International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS 2009 held on August 18 to 23 in Zhukovsky, Moscow Region and locating in pavilions of 31,750 sqm total area ended.
