On February 17, 2010 in Dubna, Moscow Region the Progresstech-Dubna managers and leading specialists met with Dubna University faculty members, undergraduates and post-graduates, also among the attendants were representatives of Dubna industrial business and scientific centers. This event is included in a series of meetings with the Dubna special economic zone residents on the respective domains of their activities.
Alexander Amelin, Director General, Progresstech-Dubna made the presentation on the company and its actual activity. In particular, he noted that “the company has participated in such projects as Airbus 320 conversion from passenger version into cargo one, development program for newest business jet Columbus (Cessna) and Golfstream G-650, development of MRJ pylon and modeling of Ilyushin 112 assemblies and systems. Although the crisis year of 2009 has introduced some adjustments in the company development plans, nevertheless at present the company staff exceeds its pre-crisis number. By 2015 Progresstech-Dubna is expected to be staffed with 350 – 400 engineers. The company has a well-configured stock of orders for 2010, continues to develop the partnership relations with leading aircraft manufacturers worldwide and intends establishing a division on design of airports and infrastructures.”
Reviewing the meeting discussions Prof. Dmitry Fursaev, Rector of Dubna University of Nature, Society and Man suggested to develop a joint protocol on cooperation in training specialists taking into account Progresstech-Dubna demands. Also Progresstech-Dubna executives have expressed their interest in establishing businesslike contacts with hi-tech developers of GRID applications for business and industry.
