Our History

1991

  • Progresstech, Ltd. was founded (January 3, 1991) and subsequently altered to become JSC Progresstech, Ltd. (Science and Production Association “Progresstech”).
    First projects were:
  • Development of Yaroslavl/Levtsovo Airport reconstruction project;
  • Validation of landing gear characteristics of next-generation Sukhoi, Tupolev, Antonov aircraft.

1992

  • Developed the reconstruction projects for Zernograd and Morozovsk aerodromes.

1993

  • Beginning of effective long-term cooperation with the Boeing Company.

1994

  • Beginning of full-scale pavement response tests under Boeing B-777 multi-wheel landing gear loads (1994-1996).

1995

  • First executed projects on airfield and roadway pavement repair works at Vnukovo Airport, Baikonur aerodrome, gas stations in Moscow.
  • Executed project on production and development of advanced security engineering procedures: special protective devices such as explosion protective chambers were developed, implemented and manufactured (in cooperation with Crosna Safe Co.) for the Moscow subway and the Cathedral of Christ the Savior.

1996

  • Progresstech became an official scientific consultant of the United States Federal Aviation Administration (on contract basis) for pavement response evaluations under aircraft landing gear loads.

1997

  • Concluded was the contract with Gazpromavia Co., the GAZPROM department on the turnkey reconstruction and expansion project of Ostafyevo Airport in Moscow Region. The project was executed within a period from 1997 to 2002.
  • Fulfilled was the program on pavement roughness assessment in compliance with the ICAO standards and norms at the Russian and CIS airports handling the Boeing aircraft.
  • Created was the Progresstech Airdrome Testing Laboratory that was respectively certified by the State Civil Aviation Authority of Russia, the State Standard System of Russia and the Interstate Aviation Committee of Russia.

1998

  • Executed was the joint project on cross-polar routes implementation under the ETOPS program in cooperation with the Russian Ministry of Transport, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, the Boeing Company and leading international airlines (1998 – 2000).
  • Came out the first issue of the “Airports. Progressive Technologies” Magazine officially founded and published by Progresstech. The magazine is intended for airport technologies readership.

1999

  • Created was the Progresstech Test Laboratory certified by the State Standard system of Russia.
  • JSC Progresstech was accredited by the Russian Federation Ministry of Science and Technologies as a scientific entity.
  • JSC Progresstech became an official distributor of Eagle Point Software Corporation (U.S.A.) in Russia to promote the civil engineering design program packages.
  • Opened was the Progresstech Design Center targeting the design projects on parts, assemblies and systems of various Boeing aircraft models (1999 till now).
  • Established was the Progresstech Representative Office in the Russian North-West Region (in Sankt-Petersburg).

2000

  • Executed was the first phase of the reconstruction and expansion of Ostafyevo Airport: the newly built airport owned by GAZPROM was officially commissioned.
  • Executed was the project on development of the Progresstech-AG sealant intended for airfield and roadway pavements construction and repair. The sealant delivery to Russia and CIS airports.
  • Created and developed was a new trend of diversified Progresstech activities: Kupchino chain store offering a wide assortment of foodstuffs and related goods and services.

2001

  • The Progresstech managers were entitled as the Continental Airlines designees in Russia and CIS countries.
  • Executed was the project on implementation of international routes from the North America to the South-East Asia across the North Pole within the Russian airspace: Progresstech team participated in the trial flight by Malaysia Airlines Boeing B-777-200 from Seattle, U.S.A. to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and in the inauguration commercial regular flight by Continental Airlines Boeing B-777-200 from New-York to Hong Kong.
  • The Progresstech Airport Certification Center was accredited by the Civil Aviation Certification System of Russia. The Center is responsible for assessment of airport activities and airport facilities for compliance with the Russian civil aviation standards and norms.

2002

  • Established was Kyrgyz-Progresstech, Russian and Kyrgyz joint-venture that performed works on apron expansion at Manas International Airport (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan).
  • Completed was the first phase of Bolshoe Savino/Perm Airport reconstruction: reinforced concrete pavements were placed on a total area of 175,000 sqm (2002 – 2003).
  • Developed were projects on civil aviation ground infrastructure design under the contracts with Domodedovo International Airport, Manas International Airport (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan), Saratov Region Government, Travers-AVIA company, Alpha Bank, Special Enterprise of Moscow City Government and others.
  • Performed under the contract with the Moscow Region Ministry of Transportation was the research study on the subject “Present State and Prospects of Integrated Development of the Moscow Aviation System (MAS) Airports”.
  • Executed was the project on evaluation of possibility of perspective Sukhoi aircraft basing on state aviation airdromes..
  • Published was the book entitled “Airdrome Pavements. Modern View”. The authors of the book, Progresstech Group of Company experts were awarded with diploma of the Russian Academy of Construction and Architecture as the best scientific and creative work in the area of architecture, urban development and civil engineering in 2002.

2003

  • Created and developed was a new trend of diversified Progresstech Group of Companies activities: IP Telephony. MOBI-Telecom Company is specialized in telephone traffic services delivered to the Central Asia region.
  • Executed was the project on Naryan-Mar Airport reconstruction (2003 – 2005).
  • JCS Progresstech and Kyrgyz-Progresstech carried out works on construction of stands for Su-27 aircraft at the Russian airbase in Kant (Kyrgyzstan) and on construction of stands for F-16 aircraft at the U.S. Gansi airbase in Manas Airport (Kyrgyzstan).
  • Progresstech performed under the contract with the Moscow Region Ministry of Transportation the research study on impact of the state and experimental aviation airdromes located in the Moscow air zone on environment, transport infrastructure and social & economical development of the airport adjacent areas and designed the Moscow Aviation System development scheme (2003 – 2004).

2004

  • The Progresstech Desgin Center celebrated its 5th anniversary. The Design Center staff exceeded 350 employees.
  • Created and developed was a new trend of diversified Progresstech Group of Companies activities: Broaster fast-food chain. By the end of 2004 the Broaster fast food comprised seven restaurants operating in Moscow and Moscow Region.
  • JCS Progresstech and Kyrgyz-Progresstech performed the works on construction of the Business Aviation Complex apron at Moscow/Vnukovo-3 Airport and various construction works at Issyk Kul Airport (Kyrgyzstan).
  • The Progresstech Design & Research Center elaborated the general layout of the Moscow/Domodedovo International Airport development till 2020 and 2050 under the contract with the East Line Group of Companies.

2005

  • Concluded was the Agreement on cooperation between the Boeing Company, Sukhoi Civil Aircraft and Progresstech Ltd. in design and construction of Boeing and Sukhoi civil aircraft.
  • The Progresstech engineering service company numbers over 600 employees specializing in aircraft construction and airport technologies. Design works are in process under the construction projects of Boeing B-787, Boeing B-747 LCF, Boeing B-737-900Õ and RRJ (Sukhoi Civil Aicraft).
  • Performed were construction and repair works at Naryan-Mar, Mirny, Moscow/Vnukovo, Perm/Bolshoe Savino and Issyk Kul (Kyrgyzstan) Airports.
  • The Progresstech Design & Research Center developed the working documentation on Sheremetyevo-3 Airport apron construction project under the contract with Enke Company, the general contractor.
  • Progresstech, Ltd. was ranked 108th in the Deloitte & Touche 2005 Technology Fast 500 annual ranking of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) world’s fastest-growing high-technology companies.

2006

  • Founded was Progresstech-Dubna affiliate company to establish the Consulting and Engineering Center for aircraft construction and airport technologies industries in Dubna, Moscow Region.
  •  JSC Progresstech and Progresstech-Center construction companies executed construction and repair works at Mirny and Vnukovo/Moscow Airports.
  •  The experts of the Research Center and Airdrome Testing Laboratory fulfilled works on the assessment of airfield pavement condition, including the evaluation of bearing strength and roughness at the following airports: Domodedovo/Moscow (the works were performed on the exit taxiway), Naryan-Mar, Pulkovo/St. Petersburg, Salkan/Nizhny Tagil, the Chkalov Novosibirsk Aircraft Production Association (NAPO) airdrome as well as Samarkand, Karshi, Bukhara (Uzbekistan) and Simferopol (Ukraine).  
  •  The Progresstech Design Department executed the design projects on construction and rehabilitation of facilities at Domodedovo/Moscow, Vnukovo/Moscow, Pulkovo/St. Petersburg, Varandey Airports and Kaliningrad ATC Center and proceeded to development of the feasibility study on construction of a new Runway-3 complex at Sheremetyevo/Moscow Airport.
  •  Progresstech, Ltd. was ranked 178th to become the first among the awarded Russian companies in the Deloitte 2006 Technology Fast 500 annual ranking of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) world’s fastest-growing high-technology companies. The total number of the company staff exceeded 1000 employees.

2007

  • Founded was Ukr-Progresstech (Kiev, Ukraine) with a view to increase the scope of engineering services  and obtain the additional resources of CIS countries. The primary lines of activities are engineering and consulting services in aircraft construction and airport technologies.
  • Opened was Ukr-Progresstech branch office in Kharkhov, Ukraine.
  • Founded was  Progresstech-M (Moscow, Russia). The primary lines of the company activities are engineering and consulting services in aircraft construction and airport technologies.
  • The management system of Progresstech, Ltd. was certified and approved to comply with the requirements of EN/JISQ/AS 9100:2004.
  • Progresstech-Dubna, LLC was granted the residency status in the technology-innovative special economic zone in Dubna (Moscow Region).
  • JSC Progresstech, Ltd. and Progresstech-Center, Ltd. completed construction of the apron and exit taxiway of Vnukovo-1 Airport in Moscow.
  • Progresstech, Ltd. was passed ahead of the awarded Russian firms in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA ranking for two years. The company was 221 ranked with a growth rate of 782 %.
  • Spirit AeroSystems, Inc (USA) and Progresstech, Ltd. established joint-venture Spirit-Progresstech, LLC whose major line of activities is consulting and engineering for aircraft construction industry.

2008

  • Spirit-Progresstech LLC Branch Office was opened in Moscow. Among its prioritized objectives is to support the Spirit AeroSystems strategy aimed at expending the long-term partnership relations with the Russian aircraft industry.
  • Progresstech is ranked for the fourth consecutive time on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing high tech companies in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The company is ranked the 114th with a revenue growth rate of 1411 % over the past five years.
  • Established in Yerevan, Republic of Armenia was MIKA-Progresstech specializing in engineering consultancy for aerospace and design of industrial, civil and transport construction facilities.
  • Progresstech engineers are involved in development programs for civil aviation airplanes such as Sukhoi Superjet 100 (Sukhoi Civil Aicraft); Boeing B-787 (Boeing Company); Airbus A-380 (Airbus); Columbus (Cessna); G650 (Gulfstream) and upgrade programs for Boeing B-737, B-747, B-757, B-767, B-777 and Airbus A-320, A-330.
  • Airports and Infrastructures Design Department of Progresstech executed such projects as Feasibility study on construction of new runway (RWY-3) complex at Sheremetyevo International Airport; Feasibility study on reconstruction and development of Domodedovo International Airport, Reconstruction and construction of fuelling complex facilities at Vnukovo International Airport, Concept of reconstruction of Uralsk Airport (Kazakhstan) and others.
  • Progresstech started developing a new trend of its business activities – consulting services on Lean-transformation of business systems. Rendered consulting services to Novosibirsk Chkalov Aviation Production Association (NAPO) and Aviastar-SP (Ulyanovsk Aviation Industrial Complex).
  • Progresstech, Ltd together with United Aircraft Corporation and Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Corporation set up JSC AeroComposit to design and produce polymer and composite parts, units and components of commercial aircraft.

2009

  • Boeing Company empowered Progresstech, Ltd. to directly offer engineering services to Boeing Tier-1 suppliers and partners.
  • Center of Technical Publication (TsTP LLC) was registered with Progresstech acting as its co-founder. The Center is intended to develop airplane technical publications (operating manuals).
  • Airports Design and Certification Department of Progresstech widely expanded its specialized activity and developed project documentation for Aircraft repair factory buildings and facilities in Minsk (Belarus), Sukhoi Superjet 100 Aircraft Delivery Center, Maintenance complex at Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Complex of ATC systems, radio navaids and landing systems and telecommunications at Khabarovsk Airport, Centralized aircraft fueling system at Vnukovo International Airport, Kaliningrad Joint Air Traffic Management System (JATMS) Center.
  • JSC NPO Progresstech was added to the list of enterprises awarded to be included on the Balashikha Municipal Wall of Honor for a considerable contribution to the urban developement. In 2009 the company carried out repair works on runways at Norilsk/Alykel, Mirny and Polarny Airports and construction works on cement concrete pavements on the construction site and on-site roads of Liebherr plant and hangar ramp for Federal State Unitary Enterprise State Transport Company Rossiya.
  • Rendered were engineering consulating services for aircraft manufacturing sector in the context of programs on development of composite wing prototype for prospective Russian aircraft MS-21 and Sukhoi Superjet, as well as Boeing B-787, Boeing B-747, Gulfstream G-650, Gulfstream G-250, Mitsubishi Redional Jet; Sukhoi Superjet.
  • Ukr-Progresstech (Ukraine), Progresstech-Dubna (Russia) and MIKA-Progresstech (Armenia) continue sustainably developing.
  • Progresstech was included in its fifth year in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA Ranking. The company was recorgnized to be the 219th in the 2009 annual Technology Fast 500 EMEA ranking with a growth rate of 776 %.
