Ekaterina Vasiilieva: “Working at Every Project We Try to Keep up to Date”

Ekaterina N. Vasilieva, Director General tells about the nowadays’ activities of the company and perspectives of its development.

Since 1993 Progresstech has rendered engineering services to the Boeing Corporation and since 1999, aviation design services. Today the Boeing Company is a strategic partner of our company, however we cooperate with other partners both in Russia and abroad, including Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company, United Aviation Corporation, Spirit AeroSystems, air carriers and major airports in Russia and worldwide.

We have suggested design for the fuselage nose section and pylon for Boeing 787 and performed their computation. Our experts have performed a large scope of strength analysis calculations for Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company engaged in development of the Russian regional jet -  Sukhoi SuperJet 100. The stress analysis engineers have calculated most of critical structural components, including those made of composite materials for static strength. Progresstech specialists have been involved in designing the most of critical assemblies and components of this jet, including wing, fuselage, landing gear, hydraulic and fuel systems and control system. The works have been performed on preparation of various assemblies and systems for testing.

Progresstech pays high tributes to the partnership relations with Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company and is very proud of its own contribution into developmnent of a new Russian regional jet.

In collaboration with Vemina Aviaprestige Company we work at development of airplane and helicopter cabins of VIP class. And a number of our specialists involved in this project constantly grows.

Created in 2007 were subsidiary companies – Progresstech-M in Moscow and Ukr-Progresstech in Kiev, Ukraine in order to increase the scope of engineering services and to attract the additional resources. We actively participate in the Russian Federal Governmental Program on special economic zone development. Founded in 2006 was Progresstech-Dubna (in Dubna, Moscow Region) that is another engineering services center for aerospace and airport technologies.

Working at every project we try to keep up to date. The company name itself calls for this. ProgressTech, this is always progressive solutions and technologies.

In the airport design area the company have executed projects on construction and rehabilitation of the ground-support infrastructure facilities in over forty airports in Russia and CIS countries for customers such as S.P.Korolev RSC Energia, Gazprom, Lukoil, East Line Group of Companies. For instance, we designed and built the whole ground-support infrastructure of Ostafyevo Airport for Gazprom. At present we are accomplishing the working documentation development for several facilities at Vnukovo International Airport.

Now we are involved by the request of the Russian Ministry of Transport and Rostransmodernizatsya in the feasibility study on construction of the third runway at Sheremetyevo International Airport. The work under this project is performed with assistance of advanced investment, financial and engineering consultants of worldwide level. We supervises the works of these subcontractors and are liable for this project integrity to the customer. Also we perform a similar work for Domodedovo International Airport.  By the request of State ATM Corporation we design helipads for the Russian Presidential Executive Office. Also the company expands such line of business as designing of highways.

Progresstech complies with all actual requirements. The management system is certified in Standard ISO 9001. Recently the company has been successfully audited in checking internal processes for compliance with the requirements of aviation industry standard AS 9000.
