In November of 2011 Progresstech-Dubna celebrated its 5th anniversary. The company approaches its anniversary as an established, actively evolving business that successfully offers the engineering consulting services for aerospace industry. The company has been granted a resident status for the Dubna Special Economic Zone (SEZ) of technical innovation type.
Progresstech and Spirit AeroSystems attendees of the US-Canada Conference on Composites made a joint presentation on topic “Improved Efficiency in the Buckling Analysis of Composite Laminated Rectangular Plates”.
On October 6 – 7, 2011 the Second All-Russia Scientific & Technical Conference “Principles and Mechanisms of Formation of National Innovation System in the Russian Federation“ was held in the SEZ “Dubna” Congress Centre, Dubna, Moscow Region. The program of one of the above group sessions dedicated to designing of comprehensive engineering systems has been entirely compiled by employees of Progresstech and its subsidiaries Progresstech-Dubna, Ukr-Progresstech and MIKA-Progresstech.
On September 28, 2011 the first Boeing 787 Dreamliner which has been handed over to ANA (All Nippon Airlines) was successfully landed at Haneda Airport in Tokyo. The 787 Dreamliner is the biggest innovation in commercial aviation for the past of 50 years. Most of the Progresstech engineers’ team working at the site of Moscow Boeing Design Center has been actively involved in 787 Program since 2004.
